Diane Cecchettinni Customer Service Award
The Diane Cecchettini Customer Service Award is presented annually to the Carol Milgard Breast Center staff member who has made a significant positive impact by providing exemplary internal and external customer service to patients, fellow colleagues and other patrons.
The award recognizes outstanding contributions by the individual who demonstrates extraordinary customer service to patients, referring provider offices and/or other breast center customers. The contribution may take the form of exceptional selfless dedication to patient care, organization loyalty, self-motivation, discipline, positive attitude and accountability and/or other evidence of highly effective customer service professionalism. We welcome and encourage all nominations.

Award InspirationCreated by the breast center’s Board of Directors, this award is named in honor of one of the breast center’s founding CEOs, Diane Cecchettini, RN, whose distinguished career included:
- President and CEO of MultiCare Health System
- A devoted registered nurse
- Troop commander in Operation Desert Storm
- Visionary leader, successfully solving complex problems to improve patient care
- A personal advocate for enhancing customer service
- Regularly demonstrating integrity, determination, passion, and dedication for patients
Purpose of the AwardTo identify the Carol Milgard Breast Center staff member who exemplifies Diane Cecchettini’s ongoing commitment to providing patients and patrons with outstanding customer service, by supporting the values based on the breast center’s mission.
AwardThe winner will receive an engraved plaque and a monetary award.
EligibilityAny staff member (.6 FTE or above) who works at the Carol Milgard Breast Center is eligible to be nominated for this award. Managers and radiologists are not eligible for nomination.
Who May NominateAnyone associated with the breast center can nominate a Carol Milgard Breast Center staff member for this award. This includes breast center staff, radiologists, staff from partner organizations, patients, referring providers (or their staff), community partners, volunteers, donors and business associates.
Deadline for nominationNominations are accepted year-round, with a deadline of December 1.
Nominees should regularly demonstrate the values of the breast center’s mission to provide sustainable breast health services to all women in our community in a caring environment that fosters confidence, comfort, peace and
dignity for each individual.
Specifically, nominees will be judged on these four criteria:
- Exceed expectations by providing exceptional customer service.
- Work well with fellow staff and other departments.
- Demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness in assisting others.
- Contribute ideas to improve the customer experience.
CommitteeThe committee designated to review the nominations and select the award winner will consist of Diane Cecchettini, along with members of the breast center’s board of directors, medical director (or designee) and executive director.
AnnouncementOnce all applications are received (December 1), the committee will review them. The winner of the Diane Cecchettini Customer Service Award from the previous year will be announced in the fourth week in February the following year, during the breast center’s anniversary celebration. The Carol Milgard Breast Center’s anniversary is February 23.
