Community Resources

A caring community in the South Sound

Through community education, the Carol Milgard Breast Center is here to serve as a resource to help women understand the value of regular screening.

The Center provides breast health education and psychosocial support to those facing breast cancer and their family members. Our resources are available for outreach presentations, lectures, health fairs, and other community events focused on breast health awareness and breast cancer prevention.

With our outreach education, we strive to:

  • Increase women’s breast health knowledge.
  • Empower women regarding their breast health.
  • Increase utilization of early detection modalities.
  • Increase breast cancer screening utilization.
  • Reduce needless breast cancer-related deaths

In this section, you can find out more about the community resources offered by Carol Milgard Breast Center and other local organizations; and find useful information about breast health—from local events, to good articles, definitions of confusing terms and more.
