Community Resources

A gathering place. A place to learn.

The Carol Milgard Breast Center offers a Community Education Center and Resource Library, providing a gathering place for breast health awareness education for our community, and a gathering place for Community Multidisciplinary Breast Disease Conferences.

Resource Library – Coming soon!

Carol Milgard Breast Center Resource Library is free and open to the public, Monday through Friday. It will offer consumer-friendly, health-oriented books, videos, audiotapes, magazines and Internet access to breast health information.

Community Multidisciplinary Breast Disease Conferences

Remarkable progress has been made in the primary treatment modalities for breast cancer: surgery, radiation therapy, cytotoxic chemotherapy, and novel biologic therapies. As a result, a multidisciplinary approach has become the standard in the management of patients with breast cancer. Many of the recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer require close collaboration between cancer specialists with differing areas of expertise. In recognition of these advances, the Carol Milgard Breast Center serves as a gathering place for a weekly Multidisciplinary Community Breast Disease Conference. This conference brings together a team of specialists to evaluate patients with known breast disease in a timely and coordinated manner.
