Cancer Patient, Survivor, or Caregiver Support GroupThis support group meets every Thursday, 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the Katterhagen Resource Center at MultiCare Regional Cancer Center. This group is offered at no cost and is open to any cancer patient, survivor, or caregiver. These are open groups and participants may come regularly or as often as they choose.
Fitting Food into your Fight Against CancerDesigned for cancer patients in active treatment and their caregiver or support person. Topics include: anti-inflammatory foods to aid recovery and healing, coping with common treatment related side effects, and reputable nutrition resources. Instructor: Nancy Steedman RD, CD, a certified specialist in oncology nutrition. This class is held at the St. Joseph’s Medical Center on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 3 p.m.
General Cancer Support GroupThe goals of this cancer support group are to provide a chance to talk with other survivors, to receive and offer others support, to learn stress management techniques, to provide education/information sharing, and allow an opportunity for participants to tell their story. This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m at the MultiCare Regional Cancer Center in Tacoma.
Knit for LifeOpen to anyone touched by cancer. Teaches knitting to patients. All supplies and instruction are provided. Held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month; 1-3pm at St Joseph Medical Center.

Sisters of Hope / Brothers of Faith Cancer Support GroupThe support group’s mission is to provide a safe, comforting environment for spiritual, emotional, sisterly and brotherly support for people diagnosed with cancer.
Tea for the Soul offers an opportunity for you to take a small break away from the hustle of your daily routine to focus on personal care while enjoying a cup of tea and warm conversation. Whether you are newly diagnosed or celebrating 10 years cancer-free, this gathering gives you the room to reflect on your journey, learn from one another, and get some tips about personal care. This support group offers spiritual healing for anyone touched by cancer.
